Goodweigh raises €4.2 million, with €3 million coming from the Dutch Dragons

Amsterdam, August 5, 2026

Health tech company Mila Health, the parent company of consumer brands Fellos and Goodweigh, has raised a €4.2 million investment round. Of this, €3 million comes from the Dutch Dragons, who announced the round on their podcast. Mila Health will use the capital to accelerate the development of its digital healthcare platform and expand across Europe.

Two years ago, founders Sibren Tolsma and Rob Smeitink started with a single idea: to give people more control over their own health by making high-quality healthcare simpler and more accessible. To date, Mila Health has helped over 30,000 patients through Fellos and Goodweigh, employs more than 40 healthcare professionals, and operates in the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden.

A growth curve that surprised even the Dragons

Growth was much faster than anticipated. While Mila Health was helping around 10,000 patients a year ago, that number has now risen to over 30,000. During the same period, the company expanded from the Netherlands into four European markets, and its healthcare team grew to over 40 professionals. The investment is backed by the Dutch Dragons: Bas Witvoet, Pieter Schoen, and Michel Perridon.

"I’ve seen hundreds, if not over a thousand business plans. I always say: everything looks good in Excel. Last year, you presented a fantastic spreadsheet and said the result would triple. It didn’t triple—it grew twelvefold." — Pieter Schoen, Dutch Dragon

The Dragons aren't investing for financial reasons alone. "Beyond getting a good return, you’re investing in high-quality healthcare. And I think that’s at least as important," the investor notes.

Care at the core, not as an afterthought

Mila Health consciously focuses on conditions that are well-suited for fully online treatment. Patients begin with a medical intake form developed by doctors and pharmacists, after which their identity is verified and a doctor assesses and guides the treatment.

"People increasingly want to manage their own health. At Goodweigh and Fellos, we give them the means to do so: high-quality, doctor-led healthcare that is accessible and supported at every step." — Rob Smeitink, founder of Mila Health

It is precisely this guidance that distinguishes the platform from the illegal or unregulated channels where many people currently obtain medication, with all the associated health risks.

How Mila Health plans to use the funding

The investment will allow Mila Health to accelerate the technical development of its healthcare platform. A significant portion of the capital will be used to improve digital infrastructure. In addition, Goodweigh and Fellos will expand their services into new healthcare areas, such as menopause care, and continue their growth in Europe. The quality of care remains at the heart of this expansion. Mila Health is investing heavily in expanding its healthcare team and patient guidance as patient numbers grow, ensuring that careful medical monitoring and personal contact remain a priority even during rapid scaling.

Funding round filled in two days

Interest in the funding round was high. The Dutch Dragons invested €300,000 themselves and opened the remaining part of the €3 million sum to other investors on their own funding platform. The Dragons group stated they would have preferred to fund the entire round themselves and promised to cover any portion not filled by other investors. However, that proved unnecessary: the full €3 million was raised within two days.

"This is the largest funding round carried out through the Dutch Dragons to date. I’m told it might even be a Dutch record for the fastest amount raised of this size." — Pieter Schoen, Dutch Dragon

The speed at which the sum was raised is a testament to investor confidence in both Mila Health’s growth story and its social value.
